007 - No Good Deed ("The Rock" re-imagined as a Bond film)

The parallels between Connery's character in "The Rock" and James Bond didn't escape anyone, and I really wanted to see what the film would be like reimagined as such.

This was a project that I was inspired to do by the fanediting community. After reading some of the various Reddit threads, I loved the idea of Director Womack being Felix Leiter who had betrayed Bond. Shout outs to Spackleberry and Timbo85 on Reddit who both brought the idea to my attention.

I have combined parts of several of Connery's Bond films to create a lose thread of Bond being in the US for a mission, but then he is redirected by M once J.Edgar Hoover dies; I used scenes from the film "J. Edgar" to fill in those components.  Bond breaks in and steals the contents of the safe and escapes to Las Vegas where government agents are waiting for him.  He then begins his incarceration at Alcatraz and the film jumps ahead 30 years after the credits.

I chose title, as both Bond and Hummel have received only suffering for their "good deeds". I hope some people enjoy it, as I really like seeing the car chase with Bond music.  I also love that Bond says "Well of course you are.", both in Las Vegas and when Goodspeed enters the interrogation room.  I thought about adding in the underwater fight scene from Thunderball at the beginning too, so that when Connery says "In my day, we did it all with a snorkel and a pair of flippers." it hits home...maybe in version 2.0. Let me know what you think.
